Your hood is a ws9 hood, while the outlaw version has a 2in. raise at the back of the hood, it's a lesser demon than the 4in' ram air hood. The ws9 is the reg. ws6 hood with the heat extractors. Outlaw = big *** cowl.

It looks to me like the cowl is slightly larger on the aftermarket VFN and ASCD hoods than the stock WS-6. In fact the VFN looks identical to the ASCD to me. As for the prepwork mine needed some sanding in a couple spots but nothing major. They're both gelcoated so technically you could paint them the way the come.

ws9 is u.s. exotics version of the ws6 hood with the heat extractors from a firehawk hood.

ws9 outlaw is the ws6 hood with heat extractors and a 2'in raise on the back of the cowl.

Just my .02-
For the ultimate in quality, and reliability I went with Roger's WS9 hood, which is fiberglass. Im sure you all know about it, and it is in the posts, but the compnay is US Exotics, and the fitment-looks killer!!! I paid 600, but let me tell you, it is awesome! Well worth the cost to ship, and the overall experience is great!!! I recommend looking into one for any of you considering replacing WS6 style hood, repairing or converting over... You wont be disappointed!!!

Roger personally sent vfn his molds to make his hoods while he was on hiatus doing viper hoods. Obviously if he thinks they are good enough to make his hoods they are just as good as his.
