I did rims first but that's only b/c I can't stand the look of a T/A with the stock silver twisted 5-spokes. After that it's been performance, performance, and more performance. The only reason I snuck in the WS-6 hood is b/c I hit a deer.

I say make it sound good, then make it look better(rims, hood), and then make it fast

Hell yeah. I had gay-*** cloth. I wanted new seats but not those crappy aftermarket seats. Went on ebay and got the whole set for about $600.

Thats what I have done. Got these:

and a Magnaflow with cutout, ORY, STB, springs, shifter, lid (K&N) and free mods, Not fast at all. Next will be 4.10's, Eaton LSD, Girdle, cam, fast 78/78, longtubes and a tune and I'll be happy (for a little while), .

The best way to think about it is what is going to make the most difference for the least amount of money.

Lowering springs are going to make a world of difference looks-wise without paying the price of a hood etc.

A lid gives you some power for very little money.

I would just start chipping away in that fashion, but that's just my over-analytical way of looking at things.

I did basic bolt ons first (lid, headers, etc). Then I ordered Patriot heads, and a custom cam from Thunder Racing. Those are sitting here on the floor til spring (I'm in chicago). In the meantime, I ordered dragonz28's mirror z28 emblems, a polished "flame" nose badge, got a VFN sunoco hood resting against the back wall, getting ready to order a Mecham spoiler after christmas, and saving for chrome TTM's (halfway there).

Still debating the grill, but prob going to go with an SLP with a silver bowtie. I'll tint the windows and get some eibach lowering springs when the weather breaks.

Then the car goes in for the H/C install (and prob clutch too)

also in on the group purchase for silver face 200mph speedo if/when that happens. debating what to do with the rest of the interior, might get some racing seats and probably doing the rear seat delete. Over next summer though I'd like to upgrade the stereo. Then next winter will be collecting things like, tubular k-member, BMR lower A-arms.. more weight saving stuff.

Take your time. I tried to break into sections so I don't do too much at once. I figure this will keep me occupied for the next 2 years. Bleh, then I may start dressing up the engine bay... I swear it never ends.
