The original Camaro projector conversion, done back in 2003. These are 4100k. Some people have done better projectors conversions since.... I remember Nathan @ LED Bulbs doing a few nice projector setups.
BTW, I voted for 6000k. When I replace these bulbs someday (got to love the long life span of HID bulbs) I will go with 6000k to keep things interesting and introduce a bit more blue. 4100/4300k are WHITE. Not much blue to them on the road.
Also, HID bulbs will get more colorful with age (and produce less light). But, you may not have the setup/car that long to really get to this change..... so it's your call

I used Euro-spec Hella 90mm projectors.
And yes, they do have some nice color shift with many colors (I intentionally bent the cutoff shield just slightly to do this) but when you see the picture of the light, they look "white" instead of what some people would call HID bluish.

I bought a plug and play kit that came with everything needed...I plugged it in as the diagram stated and no play. Am I forgetting to do something or are they just not working?

Acura TSX projectors in my SS with 4300k bulbs:
Thanks to Dan Brown for the inspiration.
My $.02 on HIDs:
Do your research; the forums on hidplanet(dot)com is an excellent resource. Use projectors. If you can't afford a retrofit with projectors, then please try to find a kit that uses D2R bulbs. These bulbs are specifically ment for reflector housings, which we all (f-body) have stock. 4100k-4300k will produce the most light, and technically the projector is what gives the blue-ish color flicker that everyone wants. The more blue/purple the actual bulb color output is, the less light is actually produced.
Thanks to Dan Brown for the inspiration.
