Formula Firehawk . Mine happens to be 1 of 3 with my color/tranny/suspension combo. Best looking car out there . Honestly though, my favorite still has to be the SS. I want another one so bad.......anyone want to trade .

Camaro FTW.

The 4L60 and the 10 bolt aren't junk, the 10 bolt holds just fine for an A4 car, and there are several that have gone 10's on it. There is a 9 sec. WS6 here running a 4L60 so it can't be all bad. And also, you can't really compare an M6 and 12 bolt to a A4 and 10 bolt, your comparing modified to stock. There are pros and cons on both sides, M6 = change out your clutch every year, destroy 10 bolt, great roll car, fun to drive. A4 = rebuild every 3 years, not so hard on the 10 bolt, weak roll car, not so fun to drive.

The Z-28 with its clean uncluttered lines & its smooth shape , light weight and LS-1 engine make it the perfect gentlemans street racer. It has presence, but in a classy way. Uhh they weigh about the same, with the Formula weighing less than a respective Camaro. Camaro, gentlemans racecar, from what I remember F-bodies are the 'poor mans Corvette', but I can see how you got gentleman from that... You talk about the TA is a tank, there isn't even a 100 lb difference between the 2. I'm glad you don't like my pop-up head lights because all you'll see are my honeycomb ones.

I've had both, and currently have a TA and I prefer a TA over a Camaro but if the right Camaro deal would've been dealt I would've went that direction instead, simply because of timing.

Man I set out dead set on a trans am and started realizing quickly that although they are a little more rare they are exaclty the same thing, so why pay some dude with a nice looking trans am 3k more over a camaro that looks and drives just as good. I think it is a false speculation on the T/A in particular! So i'm not gonna pay for it just because it looks a little different and in my opinion I think the T/A has a more muscle car retro feeling interior but it isn't near as classy as a camaro's interior in any aspect. yes the Trans Am looks wild and cool not over done, it's almost like it could have been built comsetically the same but could have been better engineered for durability. Hardcore guys have no problem keeping them up but it just seems that much harder to keep a T/A in order as far as body work cosmetics. Also I think the camaro specific parts can be replaced and found easier than the T/A specific parts. Not that you can order a new dash for either one I just think the market is a little more competitive. I guess what I really mean is that I wanted the same thing, rare and cool, but quickly realized the only way to be "different" was to put my money where my mouth is. Get something with a reasonable price, both cars perform the same, spend the money on mods, build up a high eleven low twelve second car and then I would be really different! To me a preforming f-body is going to be more rare than any other f-body on the road. The day you meet your match in uniquness will be the day you never forget. When some guy with an intimidator or dick harell gets on the side of you and has a nasty cam! Unless you go broke getting an already rare/used/beaten car. Go get in a car with 400 na hp, then you will get whatever you can to save 3k to buy parts to make any f-body go that fast!

I vote camaro because ever since i've seen trans ams I've always thought trans ams were for looking fast and camaro's were for going fast. To me a trans am screams look at me my car is super hot cuz it has all these scoops and crap that dont do anything and the camaro has always been more low profile racer type car. If you look at the 70's trans ams then look at their performance they really were the earliest form of rice. Not bashing the newer trans ams that run the number but some of the older models were downright sad to have looked so fast but be sooo slow. You can say the camaros were also slow in those times which they were but the camaros were never over the top with performance looks. The trans ams seemed to pile on more "junk" the slower they got and they have gotten steadily worse about having extra "junk" on them. After 72 or so for me the cars just sucked bad in the performance and looks area. In 93 they picked back up and look pretty decent now but I still think the WS6 is rice. I'd only own a 93-97 formula. Just my 0.02

P.S. one more advantage to a camaro is that trans ams seem to be more thrashed and ussually owned by a kid at some point.

why do you not like the 98-02 formulas or better yet the third gen or second gen formulas

formula = low profile T/A IMO

no show all go

Guys there all pretty rare...but id have to say the WS6 is more rare. But in terms of looks the SS looks like a kind of Classy Beasty look and the WS6 looks like a fuckn scary beast!!! I love em' both but i decided to buy the SS because it doesnt look like a lot of differne tpieces put together in one car. O and also cuz i didnt want a pontiac.

I like the third gens a bit but still performance lacks. I dont care for the large nose of any of the pontiac f-body's after 97. The second gens perfromance sucked badly. It wasnt all the looks it was the performance.

Well, I think the Chrysler looks like the Camaro and not vice-versa. In other words, Chrysler riffed on GM. I always liked the headlights on the '93 - '97 models better. I wish they had stayed with that or at least a version of that design with round headlights. I hate the sealed beam lights. But, as far as a Trans Am looking like a Corvette…?? (Besides the paint schemes you chose to compare) I'm not seeing it. I think it's wishful thinking on your part.
