Thanks Nine Ball

I would hardly compare a bird emblem to a Honda sticker, sorry

I agree with the statement above: at least I didn't do what every other ram air owner does and put stripes on it. I like it because there isn't another one around like it, and like Nine Ball I've always loved the Bandit T/A's and what they did for the Firebird model in general.

and yeah it probably needs to be a bit wider, but thats what happens when you put something like this on a hood it wasn't designed for I guess

BTW this is officially the longest thread I've ever started

You know what?...

...its Suh-weet! You did a great job of putting it on as pretty much everyone has said and you want to know something else? ....You are going to get lots of attention with it at carshows(if you do them). You'll have a lot of guys come up to you and tell you how they use to have a T/A with a bird on the hood like that and then they start on with a cool story or two.
Its a great conversation piece and you did well.

:thumbsup

You know what I think would look better? As you know each generation had it's own bird, That's why I chose my style of bird because that's the current one..If you use the current bird & make it gold, I think it would look more badass, but maybe you like that style of bird?

I actually thought about doing that, but I couldn't find a decent late model bird in a size big enough for the hood. Custom paint is way too much $$ for me right now unfortunately...

You should complete the look with some gold painted Fikse FM-10s or HP Racing Evos. I prefer the Evo's. I grew up in the late '70s (born in '72) and even as a kid I remember drooling over the black Trans Ams with the birds on the hoods. Anyone with a car like that in our town had a celebrity car. Smokey & The Bandit was a popular movie, everyone recognized that look.

was thinking either these:

or maybe these:

but with the center + spokes gold.

I have really weird taste in wheels though...

I like it. I've always wondered how it would look on a ws6 but I think it would be alittle better on a stock hood or firehawk. I couldn't see where you cut it and very nicely done Phoenix that wheel color looks badass. Some gold wheels on yours man and you'd be set right

Well, I bought the regular TT2's from TomZWheels (great customer service) then send them to this shop that I know to get them painted. Thanks for the comments.
