Happy With What You Bought?
Here's the list I put together before I bought my current car.
It had to be an LS1 FBody, either a Z28, SS, or Trans Am (I don't care for the Forumla)
It had to be either red or black, have ttops, have a six speed, fully loaded, low miles, in really good condition, and be a good price. I refuse to over pay.
I liked the Trans Am's better than the Camaro's but I'm very happy with my Camaro. It gives me the ability to really modify the car. I really don't like the looks of stock cars but the Trans Am is basicly fully loaded exterior wise from the factory so it would look just like everyone elses which I wouldn't like at all.

Oh and the car had to be stock. I don't trust any car that's been modified. You don't know who did it and there's a better chance the car's been beat on so I wouldn't even look at a car that wasn't stock.
I wanted a black on black ta, non ws6. I ended up with pewter on grey. Still didn't much care for the color but it grows on you. Now that it's gone and i'm looking for a new vehicle it seems like nothing compares to a TA.
i searched for my car for nearly 6 months, i wanted the LE35th SS, but it was a bitch finding one. i saw one automatic for 27k, another 6speed for 26k, then i almost settled for something else on 4 different times, once for a white 01 ws6, another time for a red 02 ss with tan interrior, another time a green 97 ss, and the day i found my car i was going to go look at a silver 02ss. i found the silver ss in the morning, and like at 4 i got online and found my 35th le, i was freaking bouncing off the walls when i found it. picked it up the next day 250 miles away. o yea i found it for 16k. im still in love!!!!

I love my SS but I really wanted a hugger orange one instead of black. Other than the fact that i spend ALOT of time cleaning it I am very happy with it. If i could do it all over again I would try to find a 2002 anniversary edition SS.
ive got an auto MMM 01 camaro v6, due to funds and being in college i was not allowed the money to get an ls1. what i do want is an 02 ss m6 SOM camaro with black leather, color matching mirrors, and a black sail panel.
When i bought my formy, i had NO idea bout ls1's or f-bodies or anything. Then i became a member on ls1tech and now i feel like i know these cars better than anything else... and I regretted not getting a ws6 with lower miles... But i am in the process of converting my formy to a T/A ws6. I got the hatch, bumper, side skirts... just need front bumper and hood and ill be all set.
i wanted a manual but my dad wouldnt buy me one. I was 17 at the time and had no financial powers of my own. He said it was bad enough having a glass roof and i didnt need a stick shift with 350 horsepower. Little did he know at that point my v-6 bird was closer to 350 horsepower than that trans am sitting there. And it had a custom street fighter 6-speed in it! god i miss that car.My brother killed it. My dad is a hypocrite anyway he is heavily involved with Ferrari's he rebuild them for a living and sells them so how can he tell me i want an unsafe car? oh well ill just convert it i guess. My dad owns 9 car lots. We couldnt find a single firebird at the auctions or any of our networks or trades nothing. there seemed to be a drought. We went to finalize paper work on a car lot he had sold and low and behold they had a 99 trans am red/ tan with custom rims and exhaust and a crappy auto. He let my dad have it for 13000 down from 26000 so i couldnt argue cause i was going to be making the payments and my dad got what he wanted. The only way i could be happier is with a manual. Dont get me wrong, a lot of the cars that come through my dads shop (modenas are very common) are breath taking, but i just wouldnt want to drive them all the time. I love my car cause it kills at the track just as easily as it gets groceries
I wanted a black Camaro or Trans Am.. And I bought a black Camaro.. Of course its getting some work done to get how I really want it.. But it didn't matter to me which fbody I got.. As long as it was black with black interior I was good..
