Ever since I was like 14 I wanted a 98+ style Black Camaro SS M6. My 95 Z/28 M6 was fun, but I still wanted the LS1 deep down . Now that I have my car I love it and wouldn't change a damn thing about it

I just wanted an LS1 with a 6 speed, it really didn't matter if it was a Z28, SS, TA, WS6, or Formula. If I had a choice it would have been a 6 speed Formula WS6, but I found mine, it was a good price and was unmodded. I did not like the A4 at first but after the first few days sitting in traffic drinking my Latte and the fact that I usually always smoke 5/6 speeds at the track I dig it. I would say overall I am very pleased with my F-body.

When I went looking for an LS1, I said I prefered a 99-00 (cost), t-tops were optional, HAD to have cloth interior and CD player, 6 speed prefered, needed a warranty, and it had to be a dark color, either dark Blue or Black.

Searched all over chicagoland dealers, finally found it: cloth, m6, black, t-tops, 99, even had an aftermarket CD player, lid, catback, slotted rotors, 3 year unlimited warranty.

I wanted red with black top and mirrors. The mirrors had to be black so I had trouble finding the perfect one but I got it finally.

Funny you mentioned that; I was actually looking for a silver but found black!

Now, IMHO black is by far the best looking out there but (as mentioned) it can be harder to keep clean.... wouldn't have it any other way either.

Other than that- exactly what I wanted. I lusted after Camaros and TA's as long as I can remember. My first "dream car" was a 2nd gen gold TA, but wound up with an '82 Camaro Berlinetta. Always wanted a loaded IROC but never had the change for one (wound up a few Mustangs instead).

Wasn't until I got a little older and could afford what I really wanted that I found my SS Vert! Could have afforded something more/diffrent but it wasn't "it"!

I wanted a NMB car, didn't really care what it was. I had to have 6 speed and had to have a hardtop. I didn't care what options in between made it. I should have gone with an a4, but I made a mistake at first. I may be swapping to auto this winter, who knows.

Cloth interior, power windows, and power locks are like the only options I have I think. I have TCS too. But I bet my car is a lot lighter than any of you t-top guys and leather freaks. Its all unnecessary when you want to have a car thats fast.

I went looking for a stock arctic white z28 with t-tops with around 50,000 miles on it. I ended up with a slightly modded pewter hardtop with 80,000 miles on it. Not really regretted it but i do wish i had held out for a car with lower miles. On the upside the car is very pristine. Only thing that shows its miles is the piston slap. I have a freind with a 30,000 mile car with more rust on the underside then on mine. The hard top is growing on me along with the color. But one day I may repaint it white but I think t-tops arent something I want bad enough to bother.

I cant complain, I got my car at a price/mileage that worked for me and a color I really liked with basically every option I'd have wanted except for the ws6 package. when I first saw the SOM at night in the parking lights at the dealer, i was so impressed with the curves.

However, I've always wanted a camaro, so it was interesting I went with the Trans am.

I didn't vote. I bought my car cheap because it needed some new body panels and a paint job. It did meet my standards for being a cheap TA with a T56 in prefect working order. I only wished it had black interior, not dark grey (thats changed now). Sometimes I wished I had just bought my perfect car the first time, but then my car wouldn't be nearly as custom.

Wanted a Hugger SS ever since they came out, found it in FL bone stock as could be. Doubt I ever get rid of the car. I have fallen in love with it all over again now that I have her *** looking like I want.

Got my Z28 just the way I wanted it, but now in hind-sight, I wish I would have went with an SS. I looked at both, but seeing how I was only 18 at the time, didnt see paying the premium for the SS as worthwhile. However now, 7 years later, I sometimes look back and wish I had gotten an SS just because its a little more exclusive, and the options for aftermarket apperance stuff like floormats and decklids and that sort of thing seems to be a bit stronger. Plus im starting to like the hood and spoiler more as I see them, but dont think I can bring myself to make my Z an SS look-alike.

However my many reoccuring problems with my car have made me question buying a F-Body all together, but I have thus far resisted the urge to sell her, as shes my first car, and I have a lot of blood and sweat invested... Decisions are never easy...
