Happy With What You Bought?
My car is a love hate. Love the look sound and feel.
Hate that i had to replace the motor because of shavings, tranny went out, and rear end blew up. I got all brand new stuff now i'm leaking coolant, tranny fluid and oil 6 months later.
In 20 years, i can imagine myself still driving this car.

I looked for an f-body a couple different times. Layoff killed my first search. For the second search, I wrote out very specific requirements for my car: stock, Arctic White exterior, Taupe interior, M6, Firehawk, w/ bla bla bla, under $XXXXX. I just could not find the car I wanted in my price range. I only looked for 6 months; was not patient enough. I ended up “settling” for a low mileage 98 TA WS6 w/ the exterior color I wanted. I still wish I had a Hawk though. It is the exclusivity thing: “Ooooh, man, look at the Firehawk! That your Firehawk? Man, that’s awesome…….”.
The only thing I would change about my T/A would be the color: NBM is my fav (with others very close). The red was cool at first, but it is a very cliche color and I'm looking to keep the car looking nice yet "mature".
As far as my camaro: It would be nice to have an Iroc or 91-92 RS (ground effects are nicer but harder to find), but for the price I got a well optioned car. V8, 5 speed, T-tops, cruise, pw,pdl, deluxe interior (door panels and seats). Bottom line: I'm turning it into what I want as we speak.

My first F-Body was a '93 V6 M5 Hardtop. No frills, but I loved it. My '00 SS that I have now is EXACTLY what I always wanted. Fully loaded M6 w/ T-Tops… AND the perfect color NBM! I have made additions enroute to my vision of the car but, that's what we do.

i remember seeing a black Ws6 at the 98 Toronto Auto show, me and a bud talked to a GM rep for 1/2 an hour on the TA, went thru it and all....and I was hooked!(lol, I was hooked without even hearing it start up!, I got a woody when that happened!!) i looked for that exact model(but got a 99) and it took forever, I found it 9-10 months after I first started looking, the only regret i have now is the higher milage(30k mis, wanted 10!)/that I dont have 2 LS1s!!! I couldnt ask more from the car. Whats funny is that in 98, i had hardly an idea about LS1/V8s, but still ended up with "my car"

color: anything but red. my last two cars were maroon. time for something else. I cringed a bit looking at a nice silver SS (silver seems to be so overdone for me), but I would have taken it had everything else been the best. All the other beasts under serious consideration (about 4) were black. SOM would have been beautiful, but there just weren't any on the market nearby.
And all the cars I saw were Camaros, until my TA showed up at the last minute, with about 20,000 miles less on it than the other cars (it was a second car, not a DD).
Would have gone for ws6 but there was only one, and it was a 02 and a bit out of my price range (pewter, BTW). But after mods I'm better off than the stock sw6 suspensionwise- still lacking hood, I keep going back and forth on that.
What I thought I was going to end up with: 00-02 black Camaro. What I did end up with: 01 black TA. Wasn't sure at first, but now I do definitely like the TA look better.
I tried very hard to make my choice strictly on condition, mileage and price. But I must say I can't be 100% sure, because that curvaceous batmobile whispered "adventure" very seductively. And now she's mine.
Or is it the other way around?

Very Happy I knew I wanted an LS1 when i started searching, more for the WS6 but woulda gone with an SS if i found the right one. Looked on autotrader one day saw a 99 WS6 with 17K for 16,800. Went and looked at the car and I fell in love. Month later I owned it for 16,000. I am very happy with my WS6 and wouldn't trade it for anything. Well maybe a new C6 Z06

I bought my car 2 years ago with 55k on it for 12,500. Black on Black 6spd with a slp loudmouth on it. Now it has 103k on it and has served me really well as a daily driver and a weekend warrior. I really wanted a SS and thats what I got. All of my buddies have ws6 t/a so i wanted to be different. Right now the f---n car is in the shop because the power steering cooler that is built into the upper radiator hose rotted out and sent coolant through out the whole power steering rack and pump. So right now Iam a little pissed. But I still would not trade my car for anything, and my soon to be wife knows that too. Well maybe a SOM SS 6spd

I'm VERY HAPPY with my 02 WS6, I always wanted one, and did a lot of searching on ebay during the winter months and finally came across one with VERY LOW MILES (593miles) and it was all out black with T-tops just the way I wanted it. NO REGRETS AT ALL 
I might have gotten a 6 speed if I did it over, and maybe an 01-02 of a different color, but couldn't pass up the low miles and the deal I got at the time with this one. But don't plan on getting rid of mine since I just paid it off on friday.

I love mine but do wish that i would have added the cme with it, got every thing else though black ss with chrome 10 spokes and ss grille with the mats and everything excepct the upgraded suspension which i also wish that i had
I wanted a WS6 or SS but got the Z (cheaper financing) brand new in 2000. If I could do it all over again I would get a 98-02 with a blown motor since I have replaced everything 3 times with only 30000 on the original motor. I have been addicted to modding and can't stop! Pointless to buy a new car then tear all the **** out of it anyway. Oh well, lesson learned.
