Never heard of that...of course I haven't seen many guys running blackouts on the headlights. I would think that putting them on would kill your visibility during the night.

I doubt they would damage the headlights..your headlights are only on at night, whereas your brake lights are used everytime you drive, and dont get as much wind blowing against them to cool them down

Ok last question on this topic, would getting smoked turn signals have the same effect? I think they are a direct replacement, not a cover or anything.
