Default Just a teaser, MRC seats.

Sorry about the horribly crappy camera phone, I got these in today and have been fabbing up the bracket for the passenger side. I still need to make some adjustments to the bracket but it works well, I did the passenger side first in case i ran into any problems and didn't want to be going by ACE on a wobly seat. Driver side is tomorrow morning, gotta stop by ACE. My rear seats are coming out tomorrow to get dyed, I may leave them out, but I'm not sure yet.

Those are some nice seats. How much did they cost you, where did you get them, how did they fit (brackets etc...) details?

Nice choice on color scheme. Will look really good when you get both in and better pics.

They are the mad racing seats that DEMONBIRD had brought my attention to. They were $478 shipped to my door for the pair, real leather etc. the leather is really nice and the craftmanship is great. I'm making my own brackets to attach to the stock sliders so I can still have power in the driver, and I'm also not paying Arizen (same seat, different distributor) $150 for bracket and not being able to have power. Thanks, I really like the 2 tone and I'm glad I didn't just go all one color, they look really nice IMO!

Looking good ! You're doing what I plan to do, using the stock rails... Any pics/write-up on how you're doing it?

So far it looks like it still sits pretty low even on the stock brackets which is great !

Since you actually bought a set of two tone, what do you think I should do (my interior is a dark grey with some black trim):

Suede (the charcoal suede should tie into the dark grey interior well):

or...

No Suede:

after reading what your interior looks like, I think the suede with black leather will tie in your interior nicely. Btw, where the hell can I find hog ring pliers locally to install my rear seat cover? lol

I thought Arizen rears came with them??? I would think you could make regular pliers work...

Here's a pic of some hog ring pliers with a hog ring in them:

I think you could, with a steady hand, just use regular pliers...

If i decide on getting these seats i would get the suede. Demonbrid i think you should get the suede that way you would not have to change your interior. I was conserned about the seats being too high. Please take pictures of the mounting bracket that you will be making.

DEMONBIRD, I'd do suade now I've thought about it more, which contradicts my post in your original thread. I'll do a write up for these particular seats when I'm done, the only difference I've noticed is that in the stock rail I had to drill 2 holes to make it fit as the stock distance between the mounting hole on either end of a rail is around 15in and the MRC seats are about 11in. The reason for 2 holes and not one is that if I do one 4inches away from a particular hole I loose a good 90% of the sliding capablilty, with these 2 I only lose the last click backwards. The rails mount on these seats a little further forward than on the stockers so the difference will be minute. The passenger side sits perfect, although I bet the driver will be different. KANDY SS, I didn't have a big enough torx bit to pull my seat belt, I'm going to loop it through the middle and use that for now. I had a mock guide like yours on there but it was too high for my shoulder, and I'm 6', it was scratching my neck pretty good.

EDIT: I need to redrill my holes in the bracket I made or make a new one, the seat is a little too close to the door, it was a lil hard to adjust it while the door was closed. I WILL be done for 2pm tomorrow!

EDIT of an EDITED post (WFT?!): These things are AMAZINGLY comfortable, they fit me perfectly, I'm kind of a small guy though 175 and my waist is less than a 30, extremely comfortable too.

Quick Reply: Just a teaser, MRC seats.
