02 camaro ss hood repair? Alright I just got an 02 ss hood for my z28, but the hood has a small crack at the tip of the hood and one medium bout 3 inches on the inside of the hood where the air induction is. I've repaired fiberglass before but the hood is SMC and word is it is not the same type of repair. Does any one know if there is a kit and where I could get the kit for SMC repair. If anyone knows how to repair SMC camaro ss hoods, your help would be appreciated!

If you've done fiberglass repair before (not on this hood) go ahead and jump into it. it works. See link below. . .

back from the archive I repaired the hood. I fixed it using all GM parts used to make the hood with three layers of fiberglass. Strong as hell and none the wiser!

how did you make the pictures show up is there a code to put in before the web address? what do you think about the repair? It is best when seen in person I got one of my neighbors with an RX-7 having me do his stuff cuz the shops couldn't get the **** right! I've been doing a few fabrications but what I really want is a CME to copy
