If it didn't have the Mecham name attached to it it would be called rice. Not fond of it at all. Don't like green anyways and making the scoop part charcoal just makes it look nasty and out of place. Maybe if I see the whole car finished I'll change my mind.

rice is a bunch of stickers, an out of place wing put on it, mis matched painted body parts. at least the guy is trying to be unique and doing his own thing. by getting the hood he likes on it and his stripes etc. painted on rather than doing what everyone else does and either buys an SS or an SS hood and put the manta stripe on it and a hockey stripe down the side. Im not mocking you or anyone else who does this. but at least applaud the guys efforts for trying to not be like everyone else.
im sure for some people the feelings might change when there are better pics of the completed project.

Love my mecham hood. but have had nothing but trouble. The hood fit great after paint and prep. Im On my second hood now. I had to send my first one back. After about a year of heating and cooling the hood moved and gaps opened that were never there. I sent one back to Mecham. He was actually really great to deal with. Its just a shame that the hood looks good and ive had nothing but trouble with it. Hopefully you wont have any issues. Are you going to use the hood struts on it?
