Default 35th SS

Ok, now i know alot of people are going to bust my nuts for this, but i am just curious about recources and whatnot. i have a Red 98 Z28, but i am totally obsessed with the 35th SS's i have pretty much intentions of keeping my car mostly stock, but i want to basically "convert" my Z to a 35th SS not saying i am going to claim it as one. when you think about it, when it starts to sound like a bad idea, how many people have older cars "classics" like mustangs for example you can take a 67-68 mustang and make "elanor" from gone in 60 seconds, and no one will kick your ***, or even replicate a gt 500 or boss or whatever, so i mean in that aspect i don't see why it would be a problem, "if" i don't clame it as an origional which i have no intentions of doing. anyway give me your ideas, thoughts, and maybe even stats on what makes a 35th a 35th, ie; parts i would need to look into.

do it and don't put on SS badges, but do the hood/spoiler/stripes/wheels, etc. maybe get some custom Katzkin seat covers like the 35th, but w/ "Z28" instead of "SS"

Just out of curiousity what draws you to the 35th LE's? Is it the stripes/badging/wheels/hood/spoiler? One of the things that is great about appearance mods is that it helps custimize your car to your own specs. Makes it stick out and reflects your personality/interests. Whatever you decide though, just make sure that it makes you happy!

Honestly man I don't look at the 35th as anything that isn't supposed to be copied, I say go for it. Like has been said, just leave off the SS and 35th badges and all you are really doing is changing your cars appearance.

So basically you just want the paint and the stripes? Thats cool as long as you dont do all the badging cause thats just pointless and fake

Ya, i understand about the not badging it. i agree, and it really is the paint and whatnot that draws me to it, i also understand the "origionality" aspect, and i love all the "origionals" on here, but just something "sexy" about the "factory" paint, and all that like she just rolled off the showroom floor that draws me like a bug to a light, that's one thing i am proud of about mine, when people ask what year, and i say 98 they are like **** man, they always assume its brand new, but again to each his own and i love "custom" but it just isn't me so much.

i don't see anything wrong with it at all, just leave the badges off or put the z28 ones back on. like someone else said i'd go with katzkin's for the seat covers and get either "z28" embroidered into the headrest or nothing. those cars are awesome, and there's nothing wrong with wanting to make your car look sweet.

I guess I understand what you are saying. I say go for it, just do without the 35th anny/ss badging, labels, and embrodiery.

Have fun with it!

I say no, but its your car, do what pleases you, you dont always have to listen to everyone else. I mean, ****, if you get all the emblems, decals, stripes, wheels, etc..correct then the only way to tell the difference would be you saying so, or the V.I.N.

So what are you actuall talking about doing? Adding the SS hood/spoiler/rims to your car then getting the stripes and insert for it?

If so, why not?!?! Putting SS badges and/or 35th Anniv. ANYWHERE on the car would be retarded but anything short of that would be no biggie...
