I tried to use a leaf blower but it didn't work, just made a bunch of streak lines. What did I do wrong?

without looking, and just a guess, but probably a combination of not rinsing well, hard water, and surface in need of wax ..

once you are done washing, rinse well, then take the nozzle off the hose, and let the water sheet off the car, working from the top down .. will get rid of most of the water ..
