Default My new Hood

took a few pics on my amatuer install of my new SS hood. paint is coming within the next few weeks and i will definatley repost pics. I am proud to say that the fit is very good for not being a Factory hood. I got this from a place just down the street from my house that specializes in f-bodies. im not sure if they are a sponsor or i would post them. it still needs a bit of work but Ive seen MUCH worse

I am about 99% sure i am doing the manta stripe with a berger panel, but the other 1% is the fillin decal in the scoop.

ANd i need the final say on what to do wit hthe struts, Ive read just about every post I can find on them, but they are still inconclusive, Detach? leave them on? what? any input will be greatly appriciated.

YEAH cant forget, if anybody wants my other hood its in great condition, i will be posting up a for sale add here soon for it. Probably gonna have to pay for paint with that sucker

i still am gonna cut the front out, (I know some will disagree) but the bottom side is already cut out. I have a screen ordered for it and i absolutly trust the guy doing it.

PLus, you cant see it from those shots but the "inlet" looks like crap, there are droplet looking things all over it, i was made to be cut out.

Looks good

1) Cut the hole out (like you said you're going to do)...

2) DO the Manta in PAINT (I love AnimalSS's car with the silver outlined black manta, I would consider something more like that and extend it to the back deck)

3) Do the insert in vinyl, if you don't like it it was only $17...

4) Use your factory struts, I did on my fiberglass Sunoco and it is fine...

If hes getting it painted, why not just get the insert painted too?
