new wheels

will putting new 17" wheels (stockers are 16") screw up the actual odometer readeing and the actal MPH? if is how do i go about calibrating the car to 17s?

i believe if you use a smaller sidewall tire then it counters the different diameter wheel.

use a 40 sidewall tire and it'll be fine. Other than that it's nothing major

True Dat! go to 17" wheels and 45 series rubber the outside diameter is the same as the 16's

lt1man was correct. a smaller sidewall with the bigger rims will have the same overall diameter as the stock rims with a bigger sidewall. you can use a tire calculator like the one here to see if the new combo will be any different and how much it will affect your speedo
