That one is pretty kewl it doesn't specify what material it is made out of. It looks like a cloth like material. Is there any plastic or aluminum ones out there?

To specify a little more I am not going to use this to cover a battery, I just want something around the size of the battery to fill the space up so it won't look out of place...

Maybe there might be something else out there that I could stick in there???

Just relocate the battery. Less weight up front, and you dont have to worry about buying a cover.

That's what I would like to do but I don't like the empty look and need something hollow to stick in the space to keep the look I am going for

Anyone have any ideas????

since your trying to fill space why not get a different coolant resevoir that sits where the battery used to
that would fill up the space

or for an even cleaner look you could get some plexiglass and cut out a cover for each side to cover the fuse panels and the empty spot where the battery sets. i didt that for my firebird but yours would be a little different considering the body, but once they are cut you cant paint the underside of the plexi to match the car color and it looks kinda sweet check out my cardomain i think ive got some pics of it in there

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748167/1

think its page 2 but it wouldnt open it when i tried it so ill just get you there

Autozone used to carry anodized battery covers in black, blue, red.... Not the whole battery box though.

(I am looking for just the covers myself-I guess they were around 20 bucks at Autozone)
Anyone seen those lately?

Beautiful stuff on the chrome site, just cannot afford it!

Saw these on E-Bay they're kinda neat in any color for trans am and camaro's. the trans am birds look neat. I'll keep checking on the whole box instead of a cover.

Get some diamondplate or stainless steel and make your own. Cheap and unique, unless you don't have the skills to fab

Good idea, a local machine shop made some sweet door sills for me and didn't charge me nothing. I took some polished Stainless sheeting into them and they cut them to match my stock sills and wouldn't take any money. I had custom labels made and they look pretty good for shows. I'm sure they could make a box pretty easy?

I was planning on buying one of the Optima billet ones like in the second link. Then I noticed the four holes in the bottom plate. Looks like it needs to be bolted in and the coolant tank sits right underneath. Actually the plastic mount that the stock battery sits in is molded with the coolant tank. Something I learned when I bought my Optima last week.
