Maybe its just me but looking at that pic of the hood, it looks like the scoop isn't symmetrical. It looks like the sides don't have the same contours. I really like this style hood and if i was going to go with something besides the SS this would be the hood i'd go with, provided the scoop is symmetrical.

I just sold my SS hood...this is what I'm getting. Weight savings, better looks, hell I'm pumped.

No, the top of the cowl extends out past the vent at the rear of the hood. I think you could get water in if the conditions were right, but not just out in a normal rain.

what is "normal" rain like? rain over here pours for a fewminutes, sometimes hour, then just drizzles away. the rain would have to come in at an angle (less likely) to do any engine soakin right?

It would have to be raining sideways to get into the back of the hood.

As you can kind of see here, picture the vent opening going straight up from the back bottom edge of the hood, now see how the top of the cowl continues back towards the windshield extending over the vent by about 2" to 3".



Does that make sense?

The way the hood is shaped makes it seem like it would protect it even more so from rain because it extends further towards the windshield on the cowl compared to stock
