HID lights on a 97' ??

HID lights on a 97' ?? I've seen a couple cars with them, and i hate not being able to see things at night....but i notice companies suck and want u to buy the entire light housing and the bulb, which is always halogen.
Example from an HID site:
Camaro 98-02 9006 9005 -
Camaro 93-97 - - -
- = doesn't f-in' exist
I've thought about buying some with a similar connector, etc. to try to see if it'll pop in place of the old light sockets, But $35 - $50 is a lot to **** away if it doesnt work, especially if i do my high and low beams at the same time that's $70 - $100 depending on the lights i buy.
So, i wanted to know if anyone knows which ones to buy?
Or know of a 'ghetto' way of buying some bulb/socket combo and snipping the tabs to make it fit, etc. i don't care as long as it works well and isn't expensive and wont' cause my car to burn to the ground.

Low Beam: H4351
High Beam: H4352
