After shampooing/steaming them, lightly mist them with water and take a straight carpet brush and run it down the mats, changing directions each time.

Looks like it was a pretty decent base to go off of. Car looks great, nice job.... and it looks like im going to be the first one to say that those seat covers are hideous!
