OEM or Ram Air Hood I see alot of people dont upgrade their 98-02 TAs to ram air hoods I was wondering How many of you guys think the OEM flat hoods look better than the Ram air hood. Because I cant decide I think they both look good.
i have a lowered 99 trans am with the base hood. Funny thing is its a registered ws6 but the previous owner swapped the ram air hood for an aftermarket flat hood that has ram air ports built into the under side. So i have a flat ram air hood it looks just like any stock hood. but where the stock hoods bump out on the under side i have to ports which allow air directly into the air box. I think the ws6 hood is ugly. From the side theres a massive overhang that makes it look tacky imo. base hoods make the car look much more sleek. I think a good mix is perfect, hence the firehawk hood. If i had my choice i would take the firehawk hood or a mecham design hood over a ws6 any day. I would take a base hood over a ws6 hood. I know im weird and not many people agree but its just my opinion.
I think they both can look good or bad depending on whats done to the rest of the car. I don't think my car looks bad, I like it. However I may be getting a WS9 hood with my tax returns and getting it painted. Heres a larger pic of my sig (my sig is mirrored):

I didn't like the Sleek Beak all that well. It was all right for the short term because it was my car and all, but I wanted a Ram Air hood. Even when I put the hood on with the stock 16" rims, I thought my car looked 100X better with the Ram Air hood.

i think the exact opposite. the stock LT1 hood doesnt look bad, but the stock LS1 non ws6 hood with those 2 bumper cutouts makes it look like a sunfire
