How the ebay one looks for comparison. There was no difference in radio reception with the stock radio but once I switched to an aftermarket head unit it definitly didn't work as well..

I didnt catch it in this thread but do these work for people with birds and power antennas? My power one is too tall, too old. Paints comming off its loud as hell and it gets stuck down in the winter if it gets any little bit wet or snow falls on it.

get one of these and you'll be set: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHORT...Q5fAccessories -and you can get it in any size btween 8" and like 30", so you choose the height. and you lose no reception, at all. i love mine

I have a short one. I really can`t remember were I got it, so I guess this is not a quality reply to your question. Radio reception suffered some, but I listen to my 8-track tapes most of the time.

If you do cut it.. just make sure that you cut it a multiple of its full length... antennas lengths are set according to what frequencies your trying to capture.. I think the stocker is 32 inches .. so any multiple of 32.. but I w/n go any shorter that 8"
