You can buy one from your dealership or from a discount GM parts place on line. This is what I did I ordered a new panel from GMpartsdirect . com, for $100 had my local dealership paint it for $50 and I purchased the new Z/28 and bowtie for the rear panel (I opted not to put the Z/28 on the panel just the bowtie). When all was said and done back in 2001 I think the cost was $200 for the panel w/ shipping plus the paint, and emblems.

Or you can paint yours or check a local junk yard to find a used panel.

thanks for all the pictures and input guys I think I'm pretty sure I'm goign to go with a gloss black.

the kid I bought mine from actually spray painted it black so it looks like ****. I was going to try and sand it down myself before I get it painted. But after thinking about it I don't really think its worth doing it myself plus I never really have to much time on my hands.

So I geuss it needs to be sand blasted or something. Any ideas on how much it would cost to get it sand blasted and painted?

You should be able to take it to a local dealership or body shop and have it done for no more than $50. I had my new SS Spoiler and my SS front bumper cover for my Silverado painted for $100 each and they turned out great.

i just got one off of ebay, off of a black car so it was already painted and all. he had it listed all wierd so it didn't show up in any searches for some reason. just happened to stumble upon it right before it ended and noone bid on it. i let it end and emailed the guy afterwards and he sold it to me for $50 shipped. if you look around for a while you'll find one for cheap.
