Default Which car wash....

So I am in college and my car has been getting dumped on with snow in NH. I am planning to wash it after all of it is gone and all the dirt crap is left on my car. There are only two options of washing my car here so, not much I can do.
1) Mobile car wash that I drive/stop slowly through, nothing touching the car, dry through like a hot air blower thing that i drive through
OR
2) Drive in carwash where the guys come out after it and dry it w/ their things and what not

Which is better in my predicament?

#1 ...I occasionally go through the one up the street---TOUCHLESS...they are good to clean underneath.....although I don't even drive mine in the rain.

The touchless wash will be the lesser of the two evils. Neither is "good" though, and neither will get your car truly clean

you should try your hands j/k....but if you must, MOBIL stations (touch-free car wash) are surprisingly good

Not #2. They couldn't care less if their cloth has anything in it. And if by chance it does, ..., swirl/scratch city.

Ive been to the touchless once or twice, but the water is being sprayed at such a high speed that im afraid it will leak in! So i dont go there much, the water used to poor in when i used to go thru the touchless in my old iroc!

Only thing I hate about going to those this time of year is if your not wearing gloves your hands freeze within minutes. Oh and thanks for the idea of touchless washes. Trying to think of where there is one around here.

I went through touchless once, and had water blown in past the t-top seals and ended up with a shorted out turn signal light b/c the water found a crack in my turn signal housing.

this also can be caused by the temperature of the water at the wash .. if you have been in the car for a bit of time, the DRL's will have the lense hot .. if the wash water is not heated, in can cause the lense to split, resulting in water getting int he housing and causing issues.

if you are going to use a wash, self serve, touchless or full service, make sure you use a well maintained one. if it is not well maintained, even the touchless and self serve can cause you issues.

Yea, both of mine actually split up near the top of the lens.
