Wrecked to Rebuilt, 99 T/A - comment on the pics
Im 16 years old, I turned 16 back in october. My birthday present was a 99 Trans Am from an insurance auction here in texas. We bought the car for $2,500 dollars the way it is here:
About two weeks ago on January 5, 2007 we finally got the car licensed and insured. We put about $3,500 dollars to get the car restored. So for about $6,000 total i have this car right here:
Then school started back again after christmas break, by the way I am a Junior in High School, and on the second day of bringing the car to school some one thought that it would be a big laugh to loosen the lugs on my rear drivers side wheel. Me, my father, and my little sister took the car on the highway not knowing what was going on and my car started shaking alot, but we thought that it was the one bad tire that i had. By the time we got home the wheel was slanted sideways and three out of the five wheel studs ripped off and we had to take apart the rear axel just to replace the studs. While we were at it I decided to put all new rotors and shoes on it since the car was in the air.
My christmas present was these chrome rims that we just got installed this monday. 20" American Racing Rouges. I was afraid that they would be to big but I think that they turned out just right. would love to hear what you all think of them.
Please comment on the photos and thanks alot.

hell of a nice ride, now put on some black blackbird stripes, and align the headlight covers a bit and youll be good, from what it looks like the drivers side needs to come down some along the bumper, there are screws on the underside of it that adjust the height.

Hey congratulations on having a ls1 so young..now you can start modding it and by the time your 23(around the age a lot of people get their ls1's/powerful/fast cars) you will already be light years ahead of everyone your age lol

Looks good man, and just like everyone said dont take it to school. IMO id sell the wheels and get some nice Z06 wheels or some 17x9/17x11 chrome ZR1's. Be careful though, dont make any stupid decisions or you'll be restoring the car again. GOOD LUCK!!!
