Default want to paint calipers

i want to paint my calipers and im guessing you have to clean them first, what do you use, brake cleaner? also have any of you used the ceramic engine enamel instead of caliper paint? thankx in advance....

i used the dupont engine enamel, and its holding up great so far.

i used a wire wheel on a drill to clean them.

I also used the engine paint and it turned out very nice, I also put the decals on and clear coated them. Looks good. I think it'll work for you as well.

i used engine paint on mine about a year ago and its only cracked in a few spots but so far holding up great

I used brake cleaner and a brush...engine ceramic paint and it holds up pretty well
