Hrm.. mabey my cloth seats are just worn out. Sure they ae a little softer then my previous leather seats, but the back support sucks in comparison.

But seriously, the seats MIGHT go better with a Camaro's interior (I still don't see it at all that way but it could be 14 years of seeing it a certain way and subconsciously dis-liking what's different) but they look HORRIBLE (IMO) with the Camaro's EXTERIOR.

The Trans-Am has a theme... A bird. Even the earlier LT1's the car was shaped to look like a 'Bird's beak. The seats design remind me of the inside (lines) of wings (again, this is a peek only into my crazy *** abstract mind, not fact) and go with a Trans-Am but when I see them in a Camaro they looked dated as hell and out of place...

I LOVE (a certain person's car, name removed because he is a friend) but having the Trans-Am seats in there makes it seem like a junkyard build to me (like someone just grabbed what they could and threw them in there).

It just stops me dead in my tracks everytime I see that swap... Just looks too out of place for me.
I just drove to get some food and it dawned on me... I guess, IMO, Trans-Am seats are gaudy (def: brilliantly or excessively showy).

They work well in a Trans-Am because, to be honest, most of a Trans-Am's design is gaudy (big hood, spoiler, styling overall) but, IMO, it works and it works GREAT!

Again, I'm a redneck and it's in our blood to love Trans-Am's (and which do we love the most? None other than the MOST GAUDY Trans-Am ever made, THE BANDIT).

When you take an item away from it and put it on a Camaro (best example the WS6 hood on a Camaro) then the item's gaudiness stands out HORRIBLY, again IMO.

To me, Trans-Ams are bad *** but Trans-Am parts in a Camaro is VERY GAUDY

Enough said. I will never question you again!

I see what you are saying. I am just one of the ones that doesn't think TA seats look bad in a Camaro.

I've had 2 T/As and a Camaro, and I'd take the T/A seats anyday over the Camaro seats.

I had T/A seats in my Camaro for a while. They have
better lateral support. They have an adjustable lumbar
but I find the Camaro is where I'd adjust it anyway
(though that would vary). What I did not like (and the
GF complained constantly about until I took them out)
was the seat itself, which was kind of like a sling chair.

All in all I like the comfort of the Camaro leather ones
better, but the looks of the Firebird (though I could do
without the plastic hard shell part).

yeah thats true, I originally thought a quick swap would do the trick, but really itll probably be expensive by the time the seats hit Ontario. shipping alone could be pricey! I do like the seats in my WS6, but I don't know that it'll be worth a grand.....

Export camaro's got Firebird seats, because the Camaro seats woudl not meet foreign country crash standards...

That is proof the firebird sears are better.

I had a 93 formula and camaro, and now my DD is a 99 TA. I would put the leather seats in my TA over any of the others.

Not if your shoulders are more than 12" across.

Also, not everyone wants to lose the power function to get the seats lower or keep the stock rails and have your head mashed against the headliner if you are over 6'1".

The Arizen/MRC seats might look better, but they definitely are not for everyone.

Thats my problem. Im not that big compared to some people, but being 6'1 and 225 with broad shoulders, I tend to have problems fitting in most "racing seats". So, TA seats are a perfect alternative...untill someone comes out with a Lazy-Boy sized seat for us
