I've thought about doing that on SS for a while, but don't have the money and a hood would be low on the wishlist. Looks amazing though, I would love to see some more pics.

More pics are on the way, with the weather we're having here, you can expect some tomorrow, and more on Saturday, look for the post Sunday eve.
The gaps are all good, the only problem is on the pass. side front corner, you can see in the pics where it's raised about a 1/4-1/2 inch, the pins should take care of that, hell I may be able to adjust the mounting and fix it, haven't tried yet.
Yeah, it's pinstriped (or not... this inverse paint scheme makes explaining difficult!), I've got some close ups, I'll see if I can come up with a better pic though. As soon as the paint sets, 30 days at least to be safe, I'm having the stripe and pinstripes carried through on the hatch and SS spoiler with a vinyl that matches pretty close to the hood's pattern. I'm hoping to get some more profesional looking pics taken soon, but I may wait until I get the vinyl layed down, plus I need some new filters for the camera. Thanks for the comments guys, I was really on edge about this one!

They sanded, cleared, sanded cleared, and then sanded and cleared, but it's still there, though only in shadows at the right angle. The same company also makes a hatch, spoiler, tail panel, fenders, and door skins, but I really don't think any of that would offer the same weight loss. I'm settling for using a vinyl CF pattern to continue the Manta pattern on the hatch and spoiler, gotta wait 30 days for the paint to oxidize though.

I never said the company looked like a well structured organization! You'd think they'd have a test car of their own since they're making pieces for it, seems like it'd be a better sales pitch that way...

It came gelled and ready to bolt up, I've always thought that sealed gel could just be scuffed and painted, but my paint guy took it down to the CF before paint. Sorry for the lack of picture updates, despite the beautiful weekend, I was working and didn't get a good chance to clean her up and roll out to a pretty location. I'll work on that this week.

Whoever told you they could not primer it was wrong. They could have taped primered feathered the edge and then retape and re cleared over the whole thing with no probs. I have painted so many motorcycle carbon parts this way and i have never had a problem in the four years i have been doing it. It seems to me someone did not want to do the work.

Hmmm... I'm not sure, unfortunately I'm not too knowledgeable on body work or paint, and this shop had lots of recomendations... Oh well though, I'm still happy with the results.
