I'm starting to work on the inside when the buffer needs to cool down. Here are the horror pics of the inside.

*warnin, small children should leave the room. graphic images*

lol

I'm still working on the buffing, had a few cars that had to be bumped to the front of the line. Hopefully I'll finish the buffing on wednesday.

This really looks about like the shape my Z28 was in when I got it home. Outside, inside, and almost on the wheels. I gave it a 8 hour "once over" and that didn't even include wax, I've been maintaining it and am going to give it a thourough once over on Spring Break when I get it in a garage for a week. I can't wait. This is great motivation!

The wheels took 8 hours to do because they had about 5 years of buildup. I asked my uncle to describe how often he washed it, and he said he took good care of it for the first year or so, then let it go. He is the original owner.

I used the Mother's Buff Ball and Buff Ball Mini and that got most of it off. Then i had to switch to Mothers Chrome Polish with #000 steel wool and that cut through everything else really well.

#000 steel wool will NOT scratch, so don't let it scare you off.

I had asked him several years ago if I could detail it, and he said he'd let me but he had to get some other things done first. Not sure what those things were, but i'm glad I've got my hands on it now.

Thanks guys. More pics coming today.
