Polishing is a pain. I basically did the same thing with a set of wheels I had. They were really bad pitted and had road rash. I read about sanding and polishing them on

Um, no, probably 40 hours of sanding/watching tv. Maybe more, just start with as rough a grit as will take the casting off, then move your way slowly up the ladder until 1500 or 2000, making sure to sand in the opposite direction as the previous grit. This allows you to see and get rid of the heavier scratches from the larger grit. Then throw some polish on and put some arm into it and walah.

Hey sorry man i didn't mean to offend you.. i really like the look of the intake and am actually thinking about attempting it myself so i was just curious. i think the valve covers couldn't look any better with that intake. you'll have to post some pics of the intake and valve covers installed once your done with the car... looks great!! i wish i would have known about this before winter...

I think that is one of the nicest looking LT1 intakes I have seen yet! Great job! I did the same thing with my calipers and I dont think I had fingerprints after I got done, I can only imagine what you went through doing a whole intake!
