Nice, you will quickly forget about your V6 once you see how nicely an LS1 responds to some simple mods.

SWEET! do you notice a difference between your old LT1 (R.I.P.) and the LS1 in that?

i'll be willing to bet this new stock LS1 is equal, if not quicker than your modded LT1 already! so consider it an even trade, you're right where you left off, and the only way to go is up!

car looks good!

Good luck with your new toy.

Any idea of what you want it to look like?

Well since I autoX first mods are gonna be wider rims and tires! I may just go with black ZR-1s, 17x9.5 in front and 17x11 in back with 315s, and then springs and shocks from strano. I may go the all black route on the outside and do red and black on the inside. Not to sure, it's got a blue pearl clear coat but I don't like it at all (not the biggest fan of dark blue). I just want it to be a nice sleek/clean car like the red car was.

The main thing I notice between an LS1 and LT1 is torque! Damn the smooth torque curve of the LS1s, I know it's faster than an LT1 but it just doesnt feel it lol. I haven't had it at WOT yet because it's got a new clutch but I can feel the difference even at 3krmp

Nice new ride man!

Make sure you do something about the matrix on the back window before getting it tinted! Spray paint it in clear or flat black.

i'd go chrome or the gunmetal look, the all black look is damn nice. but your car always stood out to me because it was just nasty looking...

either way your car...either way we all know it's gonna look killer!

I had that tinted on the 97 and never had a problem with it. I put a Camaro HVAC overlay and ***** in my car anyway so I no longer have a button for rear window defrost lol!

The pistol grip looks ok but for me i think it would be weird shifting like that.

Congrats! Not a fan of the red interior pieces on a black car though... Car looks like it is clean (not dents, etc...) as hell though !

How much did you pay for it (didn't see it in the post, could have missed it...)?

You're definetly right about the torque feel going from a LT1 to a LS1...
