id get one, but i dont like the idea of ponying up all the money then waiting 5 weeks to actually get it. but if someone had one in hand ready to ship ....it be all over it

i guess its just me but i think the hood looks like garbage. its ricey to me in the sense that i know the owner had good intentions like the honda driver with the advanced auto wing, and just wanted to look cooler, but it screams, to much, and gaudy. but to each his own.

Hey Gyrene2003, you do realize you are an idiot, right?
I'm sorry to have to be so blunt about it, but you just compared a 500+hp, supercharged V8 car with a giant hood scoop that he can back up against most cars on the street AND the track to high school Honda driver with a wing who is, at the very best, as slow as your car
But on second thought, you are probably right. A 3in SS hood is complete, absolute rice. He should just throw on a factory SS hood, some RS ground effects and get that bad *** 160* TStat that you have listed in your sig, right?
Edit: You should buy the hood Hill, it'd go great on your car

Thank you!!!! I bit my tongue when I saw that post a few days ago and shouldnt have! I completly agree with what you said, this hood should never be compared to anything rice! And after yours and many other guys comments on this hood I believe I will be ordering this hood tomorrow! Although if anyone has any other comments post em up!

i say go with what you like. some will like it some will not, around here i have found more to like my hood than the ones that dont, and when they tell me they dont like it i tell them its not your car. here are a few pics of mine

Yea I also was wondering the same thing. I have heard that you can request them to cut out the front scooped area to make it function as a cowl?

Does anyone know what the factory SS hood weighs?
I know the VFN hood only weighs 25 lbs for the bolt on, which is the one Im considering. The pin on is only 14lbs. A solid weight reduction is also a appealing factor in this desicion.

coming from a 3" ss hood owner.... i'd say DO IT AND DON'T LOOK BACK!! 
hehehe.. i absolutely love mine. i was gonna get a smooth line sonoco but my g/f said "the 3" ss hood was just damn sexy looking!" i'm going to paint in the next couple of weeks so i'll have some pics up of a red camaro with the hood installed... as for the rice comment.... wtf ever!
