I like the look on the SOM car also, but I was wondering if I do that if it would look out of place if I dont put a stipe out the back? Would it still look fine with stiping down the sides and the hood all black?
My plans are to do some custom striping down the sides, which still hasnt been put into stone yet, but are my plans thus far.
I guess the cool thing about already getting my car painted with the factory SS hood is I will get a second chance if I want to change something once the Big SS Hood comes in. Everything is gettting primered tommorow. So I have to decide here pretty quick!

If it were me, I would most definently continue the stripe out back, because if i saw the car driving down the street with just the scoop painted and not the back, then it would look outta place......IMO

Stick to a traditional stripe that has stood the test of time (Dual stripes laying over the top, side cowl stripes, center Yenko style stripe, etc...)
The only 35th style stripes I have ever liked are the ones Brent put on his LT1 style SS when it was black and toofazt's because they are very dark charcoal and that classes them up...

As for putting the engine displacement, Im going to be forging an engine here soon, but Im not sure what size yet so I wouldnt want to get something painted on and then change my mind!
Ive got a nice little dilema to solve!

I dunno, for a race car I think the hood looks cool but for a street car, the hood is too much. When i first saw this hood I was gonna do it but I'm glad I passed. It doesn't flow with the rest of the lines of the car. jmo.

could always have the scoop painted black, and have you engine size painted the color of your car......that would look cool, I mean i dont know about the dick harrell thing because you're not getting the sunoco hood.....you should do your own theme

As long as your car is quick go for it. I think the VFN 3" hood is the best looking aftermarket hood.....well I may like the Moran 5" a little better but I don't think the cops would. I get compliments all the time on mine.
