I just got my income tax last week and i immediatly bought headers ypipe and ecutout,
now like you said this is deffinatly an opinion deal. If you feel your satisfied with your performance and wont plan on doing anything further (wich i doubt it cause we all got that bug) then get the hood but for me the only way i would get a hood right now before i finished my engine would be if i got a great deal on one, or it was a must for an engine mod. but headers i garentee you will love

I'm kinda surprised that the majority of people here in the Appearance forum have voted for headers. Everyone's situation is different but, my SS is a daily driver and I don't have the time (or, really, the necessary skills) to take apart the motor and put it back together before I will need my transportation. So, with that in mind, if I had X-dollars to spend on something like a hood or headers, I'd get the hood. You can drop off the hood at the paint shop and have it done while you're still using the car.

Do the headers first but remember you will also need a y-pipe, and cats (if you choose to use cats. I DO NOT ) As far as the hood goes you may find a deal on over next few months used. You will have to prime and paint a new one. I would just wait and look for a used hood the same color. If one does not show up just buy a used one and paint it and save some money.

I am happy with mine. Headers and Y-pipe for under 500. I have had these for few month with no problems. + it looks good when you have the car on a lift running all stainless steel exhaust.

I was in the same boat, but I opted to get the hood first. When it was all said and done, I still had no new sound, I still had to prep and paint my hood, and I was not any faster. Just from my own experience, I would get the headers first!!

I say on the lift because that is about the only time you get see your headers
and I would rather SOUND GOOD AND LOOK GOOD going down the road .

If you just want to look good going down the road then buy just the catback and hood when you get a chance.

the WS6 hood looks bad ***, but i'd do all the necessary bolt ons first before doing appearance mods if it were mine.
