I had the same dillema. If you can get a hood for the right price: Do it. I think TAs look much meaner with a diff. hood.

$600 will just pay for the hood, maybe shipping. You'll still need prep and paint. You should know my vote by my sig. As far as why, headers: make you go faster, better MPG, cheaper, sound etc. Hood: looks cool... thats it.

thats a tough one..i decided to go with a hood and ss spoiler instead of headers. one reason being i am still a little weary about passing inspection in NJ with headers. Another reason was my car is a dd and i have a loudmouth so the car sounds pretty good IMO. But a set of kooks longtubes with a catted y will be in the works soon enough! I say go with the headers, true duals and a tune

when you're all said and done, that hood is going to be at least $1000 into your wallet. But, unless you are going to install the headers yourself, someone will rape you to install those too.

I'm fairly new at this LS1 stuff...but from the cars that I have heard with headers and a loudmouth, they sound like a damn pro stock car, which is cool as long as you never ever drive by a cop or you hate your neighbors.

go with the WS6 hood and your car will scare away small children and imports...those things still make me nervous when I see one behind me. It just looks like its getting ready to suck you right in.

this is why i hate this selection lol SO DAMN HARD .... the hood baught and shipped is 700 because im getting the WS9 Outlaw hood and it will be about another 600 for paint, so you figure 1300 for a hood and my headers with Y pipe sensors cats ETC is about 1100 and ill be doing this 12 hour job bymyself so im not worried about cost in paying someone for the headers

Tough Choice. I say headers because whats an LS1 if it doesnt sound like one? Get the hood next.

I'd say headers as well. You'll appreciate them much more than you will a hood and like others have said, there's a lot more to buying body parts than just buying it and throwing it on.

Deff headers. Ive had mine for a good six monts and every time I get on it it still brings a smile to my face. Plus all of the performance reasons mentioned above.
