You really should invest in projectors if your going to run HID's. The kits that are out there for the halogen enclosures make them really bright.

just bought some 8500k blue xenon hi and low beam bulbs from ebay. they're from euro dezigns. yeah yeah, i know everyone is gonna say euro dezigns sucks but they only cost me $1.98 for both pairs and they have a lifetime warranty, so when (not if lol) they burn out i can get free replacements. i definately wouldn't have paid $25 from a retail store for them though. i'm gonna install them tomorrow and take some before and after pics at night and upload it on my cardomain page.

they have some projectors for my truck on ebay, but most are gay, and seeing how my dakota is a night runner, (kinda like they have daytona edition or how ford has harley or platinum ect) it came with special colored light housing and looks real sharp. id like to keep them, especially since all the replacements out for my truck are rice

Those are just regular halogen bulbs painted blue. They will actually put out fewer lumen and be dimmer.

My DTS had no factory xenon option and no one made projectors so I just had to get brighted all the time!

i dont mind getting brighted, i get it already with my silverstars, shoot, i got brighted with my stockers, when they do that i click high and then hold the lever back so my highs and lows and fogs are on at the same time, i would hope they get the idea

I have the 6000K and they have a very slight blue hue to them. Either 6000K or 8000K are nice

How long do the bulbs last in an aftermarket HID kit? How much $$ are replacements? I tried some SilverStars in my camaro and they lasted only a few weeks. Def. a waste of $20+ per bulb.

yea i obviously know they arent real hid kits but i wasnt gonna spend over $200 for new light housings and have to install and rewire everything. for 1/100 of the price i got some bulbs from ebay and they look MUCH better than my stock bulbs. no ugly yellow tint and they are noticeably brighter too. check out the 3rd page of my cardomain for before and after pics. obviously real hid kits would be better but for under $2 and 2 minutes of install time, i couldn't be happier with the results.

I plan on running either 6000-8000k in my GTO.I'm leaning more towards the 8000k for the slightly blue hue they give off. Some 3000k's in my fogs also.
