Default How to layer wax?

Hey how can i put more layers of wax on? i use liquid Ice, any advice?

It largely depends on the specific product you use. "Pure" waxes and sealants can usually be layered after 12-24 hours cure time. Products with cleaners, abrasives, and/or solvents can't really be layered.

If you're talking about Turtle Wax Ice, I'd say anything more than two layers is a waste.

ok well whats the LONGEST wax job i can do? ...Liquid Ice im not sure who makes it but its in a clear blueish bottle, and hence the name its liquid

Zaino is the longest lasting product I have used.

Zane, have you used Klasse Sealant Glaze? If so, comparison by chance?

I've used Jeff's Werkstatt, which is the updated version of Klasse SG. It's a good product, but it didn't last as long as Zaino for me.

Okay well can you comment on the SG's claim of lasting a year then?

I used the Meguiars Gold Class, and their forums basically say anything more than 2 layers is a waste.

hmmm well it seems to work fairly good, but where i live its kind of hard to tell because it wares off quick and its really dusty,salty around here in the keys

I use Meguires high-tech wax, it's a cleaner, so you can't layer it, but it's hearty enough that you don't really need to, and it seems to have a long life too.

i wash my car weekly, generally on a saturday by monday its very dusty so i use a terry clothe to wipe it down, by wednesday its dusty again so i terry it again, by that saturday its generally looking horrible and i have to clean it again
