Poll: hardtop, t-tops, or convertable
Anyway, coming from hardtopped f-bodies, I prefer t-tops.

Just because it hasn't happened to you doesn't mean its not happening.

And yes some people forget and don't latch them down and they fly off, but there seems to be some that have latched them down and they still came off.
Granted, we don't know if the latching mechanism was working correctly or not. I'm just reporting what others on various occasions have said.

Just like Van Halen said.My '93 was a hardtop. Had it for 10 years but, T-Tops rule. I would never go back to a hardtop.
T-tops are a pain in the butt.
Convertible is the only way for me. I'm on my second now.
I don't understand why more people dont like verts. I assume it is because they have never driven one.

We're talking about t-tops flying off, when the only way that it can reasonably happen is when it's not latched properly. I'm not going to have a civil conversation with anyone who uses conjecture to support this BS. This is like saying "anything can happen on the street", which while true, is worthless in this conversation when judging whether or not t-tops do fly off when latched.
A latched t-top flying off would be a serious safety issue which wouldn't go undetected by GM, or they'd be harassed to death. I don't buy it. It's reasonable doubt, and if SOMEONE cares to give me a first-hand account, I'll rethink it through.
And don't tell me to have a "civil conversation" when you have half the posts that I do. 99% of my conversations are relatively civil. Grow up? STFU.
