There are two different versions of the Mecham hood. The one that Chad and I have is the first/original design, the second/newer design is mutch more agressive. The original design appears to be based off the Firehawk hood with the addition of the four extractor ports. The second is mutch taller like the WS6 hood and also has the some what functional ram air along with the four port extractors. Mine is original to my car and has no stress cracking but they are very thin and the feather weight construction makes them weak. Its by far the lightest bolt on hood I have ever seen, I have worked with pin on all out drag race hoods that were comparable in weight. I personally think the second design is mutch better looking but I dont have any pictures of one.

Here are a couple of poor quality pictures of mine....

As far as I have found, Mecham has been the only place that sells it. Could be wrong though.

I used to like this hood a lot. My friend had it on his, beautiful car. The hood was just cracking every where.

I think the hood is too busy for the lines of a Firebird or T/A

I bought one of those things and its got more cracks on it than MLK Blvd. Its a badass looking hood in my opinion but it takes alot of work to get it to look right and hold up. It definitly costs way too much and mine took 6 months to get to me. I got the spoiler and his exhaust too. The spoiler seems to be a little better than the hood as far as quality but it still got cracks in it. I wanted my car to stand out from all the other TAs i see around here so i bought it. If the raptor hood would have been available when I first got my car I woulda gotten that one with the whale tail spoiler and the oval tips.
