Default My new ws6 hood!

What do you do when you buy a perfect red ws6 hood and have a black car???? Improvise.... yes i will get it painted soon but i couldnt wait to get it on

nice improvision for now.

get it painted

or you should have marked off stripes instead of the whole ram air bump part.

I know it's improvising, but all black would have looked alot better IMO. I'm not a fan of that much red on a black car.

I hate you!!!!! Congrats on the awesome find...I wish I had an authentic WS-6 hood instead of the clone. The real ones just fit so perfectly!!!

Just out of curiosity why did you think it would be hard to line up? I would think you could just match the bolt holes like w/ your stock hood and be good to go.

i've just heard alotta people on hear have had a har time getting their hoods to line up but i maybe had 5 min in gapping it and whatnot. Maybe just cuz it is an oem.... but needless to say i love it

hmm... i dont know whether i like those stripes or not... either way deff creative untill it gets painted... seems to fit pretty good too... fiberglass can really bite you in the *** sometimes...

Yeah, I got an OEM SS hood.. havent really tried aligning it but the little I did do was very difficult. You got lucky if it just went right on. Any tricks you could give me?? Is there a good approach to do it?

I just tightened the bolts down to were it was tigt but i could still bump the hoo a little and move its position. I starte with teh headlamp gap (being a t/a) then moved to the headlight bumpers making sure it was at the right level. Lastly i just made sure the fender gap was correct. Then i had to adjust the hood striker and realease handle accordingly. It just takes a lil playing with. Then again i have replaced front clips and what not before on previous vehicles so i hav a little experiance with it. Just take your time and im sure you will get 'er lookin cherry
