Default waterless car wash

Any one ever hear of "Dri Wash n'Guard" waterless car wash? I heard (from a retailer) that you'll never need to wash your car again, just wipe it clean. He also said that wax is no good for the car's paint cause it doesn't let the paint breath??

well if paint had lungs then i guess that would be a problem... haha. the only thing i've heard like that is when u get a fresh paintjob and the paint needs to cure before waxing, otherwise it will lift the paint up and damage it. other than that, i've never heard anything about that.

I suggest you not even bother to listen to his advice ever again. His wax comment shows his stupidity.

there are a few dry washes out htere that can serve a useful purpose ..

but the comments about never washing the car again, and not to use wax are just verbal ways of that guy tatooing I'm stupid on his forehead.

Letting your paint "breathe" is a bad thing, all the crap in the air etc just destroys paint. Theres a reason almost every neglected older car you see has serious clear coat / oxidation issues.

The closest thing I've ever used is a rinseless car wash (Optimum No Rinse and Quick and Easy Wash)...been using them for a few years now, and really enjoy them as well as the results. Never been brave enough to try a fully waterless car washing technique...

Thanks for the replys. Yeah, I didn't really know to make of his wax comment either. But what he said is that his product is a type of polymer that coats the paint, provides UV protection, repels dust, and totally protects the paint. Sounded a little too good to be true.

hmm that's strange. some waxes just so happen to be polymers that do all those things... lol
