Guys w/ blue LED's in your cluster....
Can you post pics? Do you still see the redlines or do you lose these and should I stick with white LED's that have a little blue tint? Thanks.

No, even with the wLEDs sold by a non-sponsor. Because of the hotspotting and obvious red lettering not showing up, I've opted for blue film backing with standard white 194s.
I posted a good pic of what it looked like on these boards, let me find it.

Here is my cluster. The gauge face I'm using is the Granatelli 200mph speedo:
Here is Brian2006's, who had slightly better luck with dispersal (but not much more luck with the needles). He appears to have the stock face. Whether or not that makes a difference, I have no idea.

And that above my inspiration for ditching my LEDs in favor of blue film. I have all the materials ready to go, just need to get to cutting. DEMONBIRD is the man.
What type of 194s are you using for your gauges? Are they the standard incandescents?

if you want to see the red also, go with some white led's because they also give a blue shade like you see in the pics above.....if i did not go with red, then i would definently have gone with white...

I don't have a problem with hotspots at all, though.
When I had McEwan overlays I had minor hotspotting.
But I now have the GMS cluster (see pic) and I don't have a problem at all.
Just last week I switch back to the stoc 194s because one of the hyperwhites was being a PITA.
And let me tell you, they SUCK.
I just may have to check out the Xenon 194s.
If I remember correctly though, those suckers weren't cheap (at Pepboys at least).

Anyway, I've already got blue film cut and ready to go. Just waiting on some eBay 194s and the motivation to blue my needles. Kage's pic was the inspiration, but I'm not fond of the needle's shortness so I'm going to try to peel the adhesive layer, wetsand the red, polish, and re-back it with blue acetate paper and a new adhesive layer to retain opacity during the day.
But for now, I have work and homework.
