Default My new retro emblem

Well, I pondered on this decision for probably about a year believe it or not. For the longest time, I considered a GTO 5.7 emblem to balance out the area under the left tail light where I put my "Hurst Equipped" emblem. But, the 5.7 emblem was kind of a dull silver (painted) and I didn't think it would mesh well with the other emblems on the rear. Considering I took the "Black w/ Silver Trim" theme from the stock SS emblems onto the rest of my appearance mods, I wanted something that would flow with that. As well as something that would co-exist with the "Hurst Equipped" emblem and look like it belonged there and not something that was just slapped on. Then I remembered seeing those individual number emblems from Trim Parts a while back and BINGO! I thought the black numbers with the chrome trim were a perfect fit and they match the look of the "Hurst Equipped" emblem. Plus, I've never seen anybody put "346" on a 4th gen before so I thought that would be unique.

There are a lot of really cool custom emblems out there but, personally, I've always preferred my mods to make my car look as if it were a factory option package or some sort of "special edition" vehicle. And, I think in that regard, my new emblem fits like a glove.

I ordered a set of those to replace the "LS1" on my hockey stripes. They look sweet!

That's kinda funny to me. I've added two small emblems to my otherwise stock appearance and suddenly it looks "cluttered" but, that's okay… I knew I would get that response from some. FWIW, I've had tons of members tell me I should get the stainless CAMARO inserts for the back and, to me, that looks waayy more cluttered. I guess if we all did the same thing it would be a boring site.

I think they're referring to all of those emblems in such a close vicinity. It just all kind of runs together. The car in general isn't, just that one part of the car. I personally think those would look better on the front quarter panels to replace the SS emblems, or possibly rearrange the SS emblems so that the SS sits atop the 346.

I agree. If you put too much stuff on there, they seem to loose their value. Like all the warning stickers on ladders now days.

You are exactly right, there would be no point for an apperance section if everyone did the same thing. Although in my opinion I think it does look sort of cluttered, I applaud you for trying something diffrent then the norm, and if you like it thats all that matters

I don't mind anyone thinking it's clutter. At least I don't have to worry about you guys copying me. IMHO, cramming something into an area where it doesn't fit is "clutter." Now, no offense to the owners but, here's some clutter.

ive been thinking about doing this for a long while, but my car is already debadged and im having the berger panel painted flat black and the holes and camaro filled in.

im going to get original 69SS emblems to put on the bck there and then im going to put 346 emblems on the front bumper where they used to be, like where they are in the hockey stripes... i like the way it looks on your car too good job man
