hey guys, i want to switch my drivers/pass side back seats around, but i cant figure out how the hell they come out.

it is probably something so easy that i am missing, but any help?

its a 98 camaro, i tried doing a search, but i only found people talking about their own rear seat deletes, and now how to take them out

thanks!

Do you have a driver power seat? If so, then it will be very difficult to switch. I'm not too familiar with the mounting of the front seats but I'd be willing to bet that the mounting brackets of the power and manual seats are different

Ill be taking mine out today...I believe there is a bolt in the center of each one in the very front. Its almost kindof hidden due to the padding of the seat. Feel around just under the front edge of the seat and you should find it there. I have a 99 SS and thats how mine are. I hope this helps or at least gets you started.

Yep right in the dead center of the seat there is a bolt, its in the front of it and its the only bolt holding the butt of the seat in .

Yep, you got me. I am a dumbass Don't know how I missed that one

The rear seats are completely reversible. Bjmack hit it on the ball as there is only one bolt (I believe 10mm) at the front of the buckets. Take the bolt off and remove.

On the topic, does anyone know how to remove that piece of metal that is under the seat?

Is it welded on?
