Best way to clear bugs...
I've also heard some people use a clay-bar, but I don't have any personal experiances with that.
I just had a fresh repaint and i don't let them stay off more then a day
claybar works great but so does that stuff mentioned. It's a blue can from Napa and says bug remover. It smells like it would be corrosive though
Degreaser - Typically dilute some Simple Green and get a towel/cloth/mitt thats clean and some warm water. Depending on how long they've been there, it might take some elbow grease but the majority of the crud should come off. You can substitute degreaser for car soap, but it'll take more elbow grease.
Bug/Tar remover - will work too, and IIRC is typically along the lines of Simple Green as far as concentration and safety for paint.
No matter what tho, finish up with a good polish/wax and enjoy the shine.
