when i got mine driver side was already off, on the way home from buyin it the first time i punched it the passenger one fell off, i got new brackets and hung them back up today, but im not sure i like them either, my car has a 6 inch tint strip at the top of the windshield and i would highly recomend that to everyone cuz it keeps the sun outa your eyes like the visors would but i just like the way it looks better without the crappy visors.

Man thats weird, my 150k mile **** bucket's visors worked fine, I replaced them when I did the Tan to Ebony INT conversion, but the only problems the stockers had was a stretched out elastic band..

I peeled the airbag warning stickers off to clean up the look a little, but until I get a tint strip put in, I'll leave the visors on. Anyone else get a LOUD-*** snapping noise when you open or close the vanity mirrors? Sounds like I'm busting it off everytime! Swat

Pulled my sun visors out. Got the panel re-wrapped in black for $20 at a local upholstery shop. Sold the visors on ebay for $40. Good deal!

Just in case anyone wants to do this, I resurrected an old thread. I made the plates out of some plastic I had laying around the garage.

Attached picutre is a photocopy, so it's actual size. You can print it out and use it as a template.

I've been planning on doing this for a while but I'm not sure if I will be able to get the triangular plastic mount off the visor without cutting the steel rod. Even if I have to I guess theres no big deal, but just wanted to know what I was getting into.

So damn tired of having thoes things..I never use them and they occasionally droop and almost always swing and drill me in the helmet at the track..

When I do this I plan on using a small plastic or steel circle painted black to fill the hole in the triangular mount so you cannot see through to the steel.

Why not just grind the pain out of the hole with a Dremel and fill it with JBWeld? Then sand it to shape, primer it and pair with gloss or semi-gloss black paint...or grey or tan to match your interior.

Not a bad idea, Would keep the plate flush too.
I was hoping to be able to possibly put them back on if I wanted to. That is if I could get the visor off the rod without cutting it, and if I'm able to slide the triangle off the end.
