I just took mine off one day. Now my wife complains there's no mirrors EVERY SINGLE TIME she gets in the car.

DOES ANYBODY KNOW:

How to remove the visor from the steel arm? I want to do this to mine, but don't want to destroy my visors in the process in case I decide to put them back on.

Thanks, Eric

Coincidence that this old thread popped up. i JUST put both visors in the cabinet in the garage today as they always fall down while driving in my 2000 Trans am that has 30k miles and has been very well cared for its whole life , and my old 97' Z28 had the same problem at 60k miles . Right now i just left it the way it is , with the stock triangles up there.

so the visor broke and it slid off the arm? The visor has to come off in order to get the triangle off, right?

they dont unless you cut off the circular piece that holds the arm on (the part that goes into the roof). i just took a dremel with a cut off wheel and put 2 cuts on the top and just split it with a screw driver. ive had mine done for about a year. i always wear sunglasses so i dont need visors

You probably can, but then you will still have the arm hanging there. I love the look of mine. It makes it look so much cleaner and you can actually see traffic lights haha

My idea/impression was to take off the visor and arm from the roof. Then remove the visor from the arm. Then slide the triangle off the end without the circle "stopper" that you had to cut off.

Or at least thats what i expected he ment.

just slide off the visor. it doesn't look too bad.

I recently replaced my visors with some better condition ones and rather than taking out the triangle i just slid the old ones off and new ones in.

If you don't like the look of the little triangle arms being visible, fab up a delete plate that would mount on the same spot as the visor triangle or buy a plastic plug that will cover the hole and be flush with the roof. or just get your roof re-upholster and have them cover the sun visor hole.

Ok so I took my visor off, Simple, just push up and slide inward, then twist off. Then i unscrewed the triangle and took it out.

What did you guys have to do to get the arm to come out of the triangle? Remove the spring and cut throught the washer stopper or the shaft to get the arm to drop out?
