Sunoco vs. Harwood Hood
Like the title says which hood is better and why? They both come in 3in and both can come without the center line down the hood scoop. Which one is made from better material and which one can be had sooner? Since I keep reading there is a long wait to get the hood. Thanks for the help.

I've never seen a Harwood in person, but the Sunoco looks, fits, hell...probably even smells awesome. The Harwood has too much of a square look for my taste, where a Sunoco flows with the front of the car perfectly. I'm told its a 6 to 8 week wait on Sunoco's, however, I hear VFN is looking into a new facility and trying to keep items in stock and ready to ship. I called today, and was quoted 3-4 weeks on my Sunoco, but that's because I am picking it up at the factory. Texas might be just a bit far to travel!

I've read that the Harwood hood dosen't fit as well. From what little I've seen it appears to be a little wider at the scoop, giving it more of a low profile look to it. Which I think may look good. I don't know. I haven't seen either one in person. I've seen the SS ,of course, and SS wanna bes. I've seen the SLP hood but have never seen either one of these in person to touch and look at from all the angles. I sort of would like to get some feed back from the wonderful LS1 community about this. Surely you guys are bound to someone who has one. Or you yourself indeed may have one....

I've only seen one member's ride with the harwood hood and it looks good. The picture is stretched though but looks good. What about this wait for the sunoco hood though. I hate to pay and wait 2, 4 weeks, or longer for something to arrive. Does the harwood hood really not fit well?

I have seen plenty of harwoods that do not fit as well as the sunoco hoods, the sunocos are the one of the best fitting aftermakrket hoods (at least that I have seen) and they just look so much better than the harwood hoods....goes with the lines of the car better too.....

i like my Harwood, i did have to do alil adjusting and had to drill a hole in the left hood arm where it attaches to the hood but not really a issue. everyone loves the hood, and not alot of people have them so get the sunoco. haha j/k HARWOOD looks great!!!

I think so too. So far the harwood is looking sharp. Not liking the minor adjustments they would have to make to it fit. Anyone else had any issues installing this particular hood?

/\ Hey man, caught your car at Superfest, looking good!
I looked at alot of hoods over the last few weeks and though I haven't seen a Harwood in person, I can say the Sunoco is a really nice hood. It is going to end up being very popular, but it just flows so well with the rest of the car.

Brian2006 thanks for your pic. This really helps me see them both on the car. Print them out and stare at them for a while and then make my decision. So the sunoco has no issues if any.Thats something I could bolt up and drive around while I decide whats it going to get painted on it. I was thinking of adding some ghost flames or ghost image or something. Nice car. Great paint job too!

Yeah you're the one I was talking about. Your hood looks great! Now its a toss up. Which hood to go with? Did you have issues bolting it on? Did it go on easy or did you have to twick it on?
