Great job on the car it must be nice to have 2 fun cars. The only problem I have with the car is that you have to pick a theme because you are all over the place. Red hood lettering charcoal wheels clear front signals vhted tail and ceta I'm sure you have things planned but to me as it was presented it seems a little confused and as far as the tips go may I reccomend some corsa clones to accent the ceta better. Thats my project this week I got a TA bumper yesterday...

I'm definitely on the lookout for some dual/dual slash cut tips with a rolled edge like the Corsa clones or C6 tips.

The tinted tails are whats throwing the theme off IMO but when I score some honeycomb tails it'll bring it all together again. White/black/red is the theme but you cant really have white or red wheels and black wheels on a white car make it seem too one dimensional to me.

White car, black accents, red in the brake calipers, taillights, and decals. The decals where there before I bought the car though so they may go for some black decals with red or silver outlines or just remove them all completely (what I'm leaning towards).

I do believe I'll be pulling the decals in the morning. It does clean it up and lets the body lines show through instead of the eye being distracted by the decals.

Thanks that does help. I just am one of those guys that thinks if you see a ram air hood then you don't need to advertise it and if you have a firebird you don't have to use a window banner to say it in big font. Let the clean lines do the talking all of these are just distracting and eye catching to oooh the people on the car lot. This is interesting to see a guy change his car on the fly with input from the forums. I'll check back in a few days when its fully modified...LOL

Its not exactly on the fly, I knew they didn't go and have been contemplating pulling them. The photoshop sealed the deal. I'm all about letting the lines do the talking as well so I'm with you 100% there. I pulled the decals today and it does look alot better. I think I may be chalking the polished C5 Z06s for hyper silver C6 Z06s. I saw some today and they looked perfect for my car. That and some honeycomb tails and she'll be done on the outside completely.

I prefer the more clean look of no letters. I never got into the fill in thing.

45% semi-metallic top to bottom and side to side. Its more noticable in pictures but in person you barely notice and it helps cut headlight glare at night from other drivers... not to mention protecting my dash and interior for years to come.

What size wheels are those in the back? They sink in awful far, looks like you could use a spacer to get the rear fitment better.

Josh I think the c6z06 wheels would be great for the car since they have very sharp lines to match the car. I considered those wheels myself when they first came out and seeing the c6 z06 at the auto show. Then I realized that the ls1 Firebirds are way too curvy for the wheel and that the LT1 TA would be perfect. I never said it was being hooked up on the fly its just there has been a lot of things done in a short time and pics to back everything up. As for the fillins I'm a big fan of stainless steel it goes with everything but I can agree that on white they don't have quite the impact like a dark colored car. Honeycombs would be an upgrade but not as big of an improvement as you might think. LT1 tails have that grid look that works for the car.

I like the grid at night, just dont like the look during the day. We'll see, either way I'm going to get some new lights. The tinted tails is just temporary.

Also I'm going to price out C6 Z06 wheels and Ruff 278s and see which one I can score for cheaper. I'd really like to have some charcoal/polished 278s. I had the black/polished 278s on my old Trans Am and loved them. The C6 Zs would look awesome on there but lip > no lip and the 278s have huge lips.

FWIW, you dark wheel fans, they're coming back... but bigger and better. 18" Z06 Motorsports with Argent centers and polished lips, "rivets," and lugs. Should add some much needed contrast while still keeping the good look of the darker wheels and also make life easier on me as its a daily and the argent finish will be alot easier to keep clean.

Really looking GREAT!
except how you changed the wheels. I'm with the other guys on liking the gunmetal Z wheels. And that's coming from someone with polished Z wheels
But all in all, you car looks AMAZING!

edit: just saw your above post. Well that just tickles me pink!
