Default how to remove road rash off rims

I have about a 6" long rash on the lip of my TT2s. Are there methods of products to use to smooth the scrape back out? (scraped along the curb at a drive thru) Thanks!

I doubt it. If you try sanding it out, you'll probably just make the surrounding area worse. Good Luck!!!

You can try dry/wet sanding combination starting at about 600 grit and working all the way up to about 2000 grit until you can't see anything anymore, but as someone said, you can possibly sand down too much and that will make the wheel look strange and possibly throw it out of balance.

I would contact Wheels America or somewhere similar to repair it for you. I have used them several times and last time I checked it was 125 plus shipping per wheel to fix anything wrong. I've sent them wheels virtually bent over in half on themselves and they fixed them to look brand new.

send it out to get it done right. its the same as paint......you can do it yourself, but in the end theres a better chance of having it look like **** then looking good.

Should I try some of my local wheel/tire shops? Maybe they repair wheels.
